Richard C. "Dick" Cripe

Richard C. “Dick” Cripe, age 76, of Ligonier passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at home. He was born on April 8, 1941 to Neuwell and Muriel (Vondersmith) Cripe in Ligonier. On January 31, 1965, he married Mirite Miller in Ligonier, IN.

Mr. Cripe was a truck driver for Bulkmatic for 30 years.  He loved working on small engines and tractors.  Mr. Cripe could “fix anything”.

He is survived by three children, Bobby Ray (Alice) Cripe of Ligonier, Angela Louise Landry of Ligonier, Benjamin Richard “Benny” (Barb) Cripe of Ligonier; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one brother, Ronnie Cripe; and two sisters, Brenda Stellar and Kim Waynee.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, John Eugene Cripe.

There will be a funeral service held in Mr. Cripe’s honor at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at Yeager Funeral Home-1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor John Lutton officiating. A private cremation committal service will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center at a later date.

There will be a time of visitation from 3-6 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are to Noble County Humane Society, PO BOX 471, Kendallville, IN 46755.
