Lottie Kendall

January 12, 1946 — May 3, 2016

Lottie May (Jones) Kendall, 70 entered into eternal peace surrounded by family, at the home of her son, on May 3, 2016. She had been staying with Anthony helping him with his cancer diagnosis when she had a brief struggle with cancer herself.

Lottie was born January 12, 1946 and was the youngest of 9 children born to Clint and Orpha Jones. She was the first and only child in her family to be born in a hospital and spent the first three months of life at Riley Hospital because she was RH negative and needed a blood transfusion.

Lottie had a very happy and humble life enjoying the simple things. She attended Mississnewa High School in Gas City, IN. She married and divorced after having five children. She was a wonderful and caring single mother and her biggest accomplishment was teaching her children how to be hard workers. Also, her patient and caring influence shaped her children and grandchildren alike.

Lottie married her husband of what would be, 28 years of marriage on May 8, 1988. She is survived by husband Lawrence (Dave) Kendall of Lafontaine, IN. She retired from Silgan Plastics in 2006. While working in the Ligonier area Lottie met and had many friends, including a special friendship with Cindy Anderson for over 32 years.

Outside of raising her children her other accomplishment was asking the Lord into her heart on her 68th, birthday. During her two years of Christian Faith, she was baptized and did a mission trip which brought her much joy and closeness to God.

Lottie was predeceased by her parents Clint and Orpha Jones, older brothers Jerry & Larry Jones, infant brothers; Jackie and Danny Jones and her adoring son; Robert (Bob) Gee.

Lottie leaves loving memories to be cherished by her sisters; Colleen (George) Kreager of Cromwell, IN., Darlene (Emory) Cornett of Sweetser, IN., Brothers; Jay (Minnie) Jones of Gas City, IN., and Jim (Sandy) Jones of Gas City, IN.

Children include Son; Anthony “Tony” Gee and Christy Goodwin of Indiana. Daughters; Lisa (Mark) Stanley of Syracuse, IN., Lynette (Fred) Fuller of Albion, IN., and Traci Runge of Carmel, IN.

She was a wonderful Grandma to Grandsons; Tyler Gee, Zachary Centers, Trey Gee and Austin Centers. A special “Mammie” to her granddaughters; Hannah, Allie Marie and Gracie Runge. Great Grandmother – “Mamaw” to Brysen and McKinlie Centers and Bryson and Landon Gee.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 1PM – 4PM at Yeager Funeral Home – 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767.

A funeral service will be held in Lottie’s honor on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 4PM at Yeager Funeral Home. Pastor Joey Nelson will officiate. A private burial will take place at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made in Lottie’s name to her family c/o: Yeager Funeral Home.
