William L. Lang Jr., age 66, of Cromwell passed away Thursday, December 4, 2008 at 2:00 AM at his residence in Cromwell.
He was born on October 26, 1942, in Mt. Carbon, West Virginia, to William L. Sr. & Anna (Robinson) Lang. He Moved to the area in 1964 coming from Deep Water, West Virginia.
He married Lillian "Mindy" Baker on December 24, 1967, she survives. He retired as a machine operator from Silgan Plastics after 31 years of faithful service. He was a member of Stone's Hill Community Church in Ligonier. Mr Lang served as president of GMP Local 229 for 24 years. He also served as vice president for the GMP state council. He coached T-Ball, the Community Baseball League of Cromwell, served as a Cub Scout Master, loved painting and above all spending time with his family whom he loved dearly.
Survivors include his Wife: Lillain "Mindy" Lang of Cromwell, his Son, Eric (Stacey) of Ligonier, his Daughter, Jeannie Lang of Cromwell, 2 Grandchildren, Chastin & Jacob Lang of Ligonier, his Mother, Anna Darby and his Sister, Alma Manley, both of Deep Water, West Virginia. He was proceeded in death by 1 Son, Michael Lang in 1969, his Father, William L. Lang Sr. in 1958 and 1 Sister, Patricia Neff in 2008.
The funeral service will take place Monday, December 8, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Stone's Hill Community Church, 151 W Stone's Hill Road, Ligonier, IN, with Pastor Joey Nelson officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier.
Friends may call Sunday December 7, 2008 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Stone's Hill Community Church.
