Wanda Stout

Wanda (Truelove) Stout, age 89, of Ligonier, IN went home to be with The Lord and her husband on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at 11:28 AM. She was at the New North Ridge Village Nursing Home in Albion, IN. She was born on November 28, 1927 to Lawrence and Carol (Bell) Truelove in Noble County. She married Phillip Stout on August 15, 1948; he preceded her in death on July 11, 2001.

Wanda was a lifetime area resident and worked very hard as a homemaker. She loved gardening, various projects, being a 4-H Leader for nine years and making memories with her family. She was a charter member of the Chatterbelles Home Economics Club, Richville United Methodist Women’s Club, Golden Girls Club, and the Ligonier American Legion Post 243 Ladies Axillary Club for many years. She was also a devoted member of the Richville United Methodist Church for over 50 years.Wanda will be missed for her ability to cut and serve all of the homemade pies during church functions.

She is survived by five sons, Kirk Stout of Cromwell, IN, John (Julie) Stout of Syracuse, IN, Robert (Becky) Stout of Ligonier, IN, Michael (Laura) Stout of Warsaw, IN, and Mark Stout of Ligonier, IN; two daughter’s, Connie Groscost of Fort Wayne, IN and Joyce (Robin) Miller of Ligonier, IN; 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, along with her brother, Paul Truelove and sister Darlene Rimmel, both of Albion, IN.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and brother, Kay Truelove.

A funeral service will be held in Mrs. Stout’s honor on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 11AM at Richville United Methodist Church. Pastor Gary Ford will officiate. Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN. There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 2-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN.
