Virginia Hicks

Virginia Hicks, age 81, of Ligonier, IN passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at 12 pm Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on March 31, 1940 the daughter of Noah and Ada (Elkins) Dotson in Clintwood, VA. She married Homer Hicks in 1960; he preceded her in death in 2002.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose (Garry “Wayne” Myers) Ray of Churubusco, IN; a son, Ricky A. Hicks of LaGrange, IN; a granddaughter, Bobbi Reyes of Goshen, IN; four great-grandchildren, Daniel, Alex, Jessica, and Javier all of Goshen, IN; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Virginia worked at Kenny Nursing Home in Ligonier years ago and was a devout follower of Christ. She enjoyed going for walks, sewing, loved flowers, and always had plants all around the house.

A private graveside service will be held and Virginia will be laid to rest with her husband, Homer at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
