Vera "Irene" Miller

Vera Irene Miller, age 77, of Ligonier, IN passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at her residence in Ligonier, IN.  She was born on June 29, 1941, to the late William D. and Susie J. (Yoder) Yoder in Yoder, KS.  On October 13, 1960, she married Mervin M. Miller.

Surviving are her children; Dewayne (Ida Mae) Miller, of Millersburg, IN, Loretta Sue (Harley) Yoder of Ligonier, IN, Ernest (Ruth Ann) Miller of Topeka, IN, sisters; Ruby (Elmer) Byler of Millersburg, IN, Polly Fry of Grayling, MI, Anna (Glen) Fry of Topeka, IN, brother’s; William (Lora) Yoder of Syracuse, IN, Albert (Rosa) Yoder of Topeka, IN, David (Ida Mae) Yoder of Shipshewana, IN, Merle (Ottie) Yoder of Castalian Springs, TN, 21 Grandchildren; and 30 Great-Grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, Bishop Mervin M. Miller, parents; William and Susie Yoder, siblings; Daniel W. Yoder, Joseph W. Yoder, Herman W. Yoder, Amos W. Yoder, Perry W. Yoder, Katie W. Cross, Sadie W. Summerlot, Ora W. Yoder, Felty W. Yoder, Betsy W. Fry, Clara W. Slabach, Susana W. Keim, Elmer W. Yoder, Edna Fern Miller, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the family residence , 4759 W 1100 N, Ligonier, IN 46746, after 1PM on Friday, September 14, 2018 and all day Saturday September 15, 2018.

A f uneral service will begin at 9:30 AM on Sunday, September 16, 2018 the Miller residence, 4759 W 1100 N, Ligonier, IN 46767. Bishop Daniel Miller and the home ministers will officiate. Burial will follow at the Clearspring Cemetery in Topeka, IN.

Pallbearers are Mervin Miller, Harley Miller, Ernest Miller, Wayne Miller, Wilbur Miller, and Richard Yoder.
