Tammy Kay Mcdonald

Tammy Kay McDonald , age 60, passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at her home surrounded by family in Ligonier, IN. She was born on January 21, 1958 in LaGrange, IN to Richard Haslett & Violet (Patrick McDonald) June Poff Birch.

Tammy did different things throughout her life, but spent 10 years working for Tokheim in Albion.  Some of her hobbies included fishing with chicken nuggets as her bait and going for long country rides during the evening to find deer.  She was a member of Millersburg Church of Christ, an avid Scooby-Doo lover, and an amazing mother.  Tammy loved all her grand babies to the moon and back.  She will truly be missed by everyone around her.

She is survived by her significant other, Randall Steele; daughter, Rachael & Brent Jones of Ligonier, IN; her son, Adam & Tonya McDonald of Wawaka; six grandchildren, Ashley, Madisyn, Ethan, Benjamin, Patrick, Natalie; siblings, Colleen McDonald, Bill McDonald, Gary & Hagan Birch, Mike & Paulette McDonald, Rick & Rochelle Haslett, along with many close cousins.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents; grandmother, Helen Wiles; aunt, Sona Whalen; granddaughter, Adarah Grace; sister-in-law, Debbie McDonald and her fiancé, George Lewis.

There will be a time of viewing with family and friends from 3PM-5PM and 6PM-8PM on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Yeager Funeral Home - 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 .  Per Tammy’s request, as a final tribute, please wear something with Scooby-Doo on it during the visitation or funeral service.

A funeral service will be held in Tammy’s honor on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 1PM at Yeager Funeral Home with Bill McDonald officiating . Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier. Paul bearers will be Adam McDonald, Brent Jones, Rick Yates, Gary Birch, Bill McDonald, and Mike McDonald.  Honorary pallbearers include Randy Steele, Benjamin Jones, Ethan Clark, and Patrick McDonald.

Memorial donations may be made to the family in Tammy’s honor.
