Talton "Morty" Wicker

Talton M. “Morty” Wicker, age 58, of Ligonier, passed away on December 29, 2021 at his residence.  He was born to Violet Sue Short and Morton Wicker on January 14, 1963 in Kendallville, Indiana.  He married Vivian Leslie on September 6, 1980 in Benton, Indiana.

Morty is survived by his daughter, Trina Wicker of Ligonier; grandson, Issac Wicker and his fiancé Taylor Hamman; sisters, Donna (Juan) Flores of Ligonier, Ellen (Cornell) Wicker of Ligonier and many family members and friends he considered as family.  He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Talton DeWayne Wicker; brother Jerry Wicker and sister, Rose Short.

Morty enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing pool, riding motorcycles, playing his guitar and spending time with his family.

A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier. A memorial service will be held in Morty's honor at 2pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Linclnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. Following the service, Morty will be laid to rest with his son, Talton DeWayne at Orange Township Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Friday, January 7, 2022 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
