Suzanne Parsons

Suzanne “Sue” Parsons, age 76, of Ligonier, passed away on March 25, 2025 at home.  She was born on December 17, 1948, to Morris “Dutch” & Ruth (Blanton) Sprague in Kendallville. Sue married her high school sweetheart, Albert Freeland on September 1, 1967 in Noble County, but tragically lost him in 1970.

She was a devout Christian and a longtime member of the church of Christ in Goshen. Many in Ligonier may remember her as the Deli Manager at Family Fare (Owens) grocery store.

Sue is survived by her son, Morris “Dutch” (Kristina) Parsons; grandsons, Andrew, Zachary and Joshua; siblings, Virginia Reichard, Lois Martin, Rita Perry, David Sprague, Deb Runge, and Pam Brickey. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert; and siblings, Linda Galloway
and Michael Sprague.

Sue was a very private person and has chosen to have no services.

Her prayer is that everyone would be as ready as she was to meet the Lord.

She will be interred with her late husband at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.
