Susan Kay Ritchie

Susan Kay Ritchie, age 70, of Ligonier, IN passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Goshen, IN. She was born on April 28, 1951 the daughter of Robert Bruce and Martha E. (Albers) Dhonau in Oak Park, IL. On July 6, 1999, she married Jimmy Darrell Ritchie.

Susan is survived by her husband, Jimmy Ritchie of Ligonier, IN; a daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Slone of New Paris, IN, Rachel Combs of Kentucky, Ashley Combs of Kentucky and Heather (Billy) Coleman of Valparaiso, IN.

Susan also had 11 grandchildren; Brianna Slone, Natasha Jarausch, Blake Coleman, Noah Coleman, Hannah Parsons, Justin Parsons, Dawson Parsons, Landon Parsons, Ashton Andrus, Tripp Coots, and Khaleesi Coots. As well as two 2 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Robert Dhonau.

A funeral viewing will be held in Susan’s honor at 4pm on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Yeager Funeral home. Family and friends will be received from 1-4 pm prior to the service. Pastor Wade Sturdivant will officiate.

Susan worked for Krogers (Owens) in Ligonier, IN for many years. She enjoyed working with the public, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, knitting, sewing, bird watching, cooking/baking and her family.
