Sue "Susie" Ellen Steller

Sue “Susie” Ellen (Elliott) Steller, age 75, of Cromwell, IN passed away at 11:08 am on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Goshen Hospital. She was born on December 22, 1946, the daughter of Arthur and Lois (Hartman) Elliott in Elkhart, IN. On May 17, 2003, she married Mike Steller at The Rock Church in Syracuse, IN.

She is survived by her loving and caring husband, Mike Steller of Cromwell, IN; two sons, Phillip (Dawn) Charters of Anderson, IN and James Charters of Syracuse, IN; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha “Myrt” Russell of Milford, IN, Lea Ann Kennedy of Schoolcraft, MI, and Tina Marie Welty of Goshen, IN; along with lots of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Zoe Charters; and a brother, Roger Elliott.

Susie graduated from Nappanee High School and worked at Laketronics in Cromwell for many years. Prior to that, she worked at Coppes in Nappanee. Susie really enjoyed sewing, making homemade noodles for her friends and family, and had a great sense of humor. She was also a great fisherwoman and often out caught her husband. Susie was always there for others, loved babies, and could light up a room with her presence.

A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Monday, August 29, 2022 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN.

Susie will be laid to rest privately at South Locke Cemetery in Nappanee, IN at a later date.
