Steven D. Davidson

Steven D. Davidson, age 65, of Kimmell, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at home. He was born on January 25, 1956 the son of Otha Jr. and Mary Ida (Patton) Davidson, Monticello, KY. On September 28, 1991, he married Nancy Neher; she survives.

Steve moved to the area with his family in sixth grade and graduated from Goshen High School in 1973. He loved his family dearly, especially his grandkids. Steve was a jack of all trades and enjoyed gardening, baking, drag racing, hot rods and classic cars. He enjoyed collecting knives, fixing things, and he was “not going to pay to have it done if he could do it himself!”

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Davidson of Kimmell, IN; two sons, Jeremy (Heather) Davidson of Syracuse, IN and Jason Davidson of Jacksonville, FL; three grandchildren, Erica (Connor)Treadway of Elkhart, IN, Cameron Davidson of Syracuse, IN, and Stazia Cobb of Indianapolis, IN; two-great-grandchildren, Levi Treadway and Lachlan Treadway, both of Elkhart, IN; six siblings, Everett (Sherry) Patton of New Paris, IN, Danny (Linda) Davidson of Somerset, KY, Betsy Penrose of Goshen, IN, Loretta (Rick) Kline of Avilla, IN, Becky (Larry) Kauffman of New Paris, IN, and Jeff Davidson of Bristol, IN; and a furbaby, Bindi at home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia Crabtree; a brother-in-law, John Penrose; and his best fury friend, Buddy.

A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier.

The family will host a picnic to celebrate Steve’s life at a later date.
