Stanley D. Gaff, age 83, of Columbia City, passed away on Monday May 17, 2021at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born on April 8, 1938 in Collins, IN to James Wilbert & Hazel Sophia (Raypole) Gaff. On August 19, 1956 he married Priscilla M. (Ewbank) Gaff at the Big Like Church of God.
Mr. Gaff was a lifetime area farmer. He also drove school bus for Central Noble School district for 13 years. He loved to watch the New York Yankees play baseball.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Priscilla Gaff of Columbia City; two daughters, Darby Zell of Columbia City and Donna (Shannon) Ruby of Columbia City; two sons, Dale (Lisa) Gaff of Columbia City and Douglas (Jenny) Gaff of Albion; six grandchildren; thirteen great- grandchildren; and a brother, Norbert Wayne Gaff of West Palm Beach, FL.
Mr. Gaff was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Craig Zell; four brothers, Alpheus Gaff, Jesse Gaff, Julian Gaff, Jimmy Gaff; five sisters, Agnes Stanley, Genevera Arnold, Ruth Coy, Betty Egner, Mary Francis Gaff and a son-in-law Donald Zell.
There will be a graveside service honoring his life at Thorn Cemetery at 1:30 PM on Friday, May 21, 2021. Pastor Tim Grable will officiate.
Memorial donations are to the Noble County Township Fire Department.
