Shirley Ann Fulford, 89, of Wawaka, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Orchard Pointe in Kendallville.

She was born in Kendallville on February 11, 1937 to the late Edwin and Lula (Swinehart) Bohnenberger.

Shirley had married the love of her life, Ronald Fulford, on May 7, 1971. He preceded her in death in 2006.

Ms. Fulford retired from Kraft Foods in Kendallville.

In her free time, Shirley enjoyed sewing. She had made quilts for the Duesenberg Festival and was in several sewing circles. Shirley was also a very avid reader over the last few years. 

She is survived by nieces and nephews, including, Colleen (Dudley) Parker and Larry (Rhonda) Peffer, Joe Fulford, Tracey Fulford; and many great-nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Calling will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnways S., Ligonier on Sunday, May 3, 2026 with burial to follow at Cosperville Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Noble County or Cherish Hospice.
