Sharon Sue Young

KIMMELL – Sharon Sue Young, 75, of Kimmell, IN died at 10:30PM on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville.  She was born on February 17, 1943 in Elkhart, IN to Lee and Cleo (Fausnaugh) Taylor.

Sharon spent most of her life working in factories as well as the RV Industry.  In her retirement, her true love was her family.  Sharon loved to spend time with her grandkids and always had an iced oatmeal cookie ready for them.  She also liked to spend her time outdoors where she would feed and defend her favorite bluebirds along with Jenny Wrens, Cardinals, and Orioles.  Everyone knew her as someone who always enjoyed taking care of others.

She is survived by her children, Pam Priestly of Kendallville, IN, Carolyn Hicks of Kimmell, IN, Rick Hicks of Topeka, IN, Theresa (Robert) Sheets of Goshen, IN, Crystal and Shannon Bonee of Elkhart, IN, six grandchildren; Petey Wiles, Nathaniel Shaffer, Destiny Sheets, Alex Gabbard, Shayla Sheets, Zac Gabbard, six great grandchildren; one sister, Beverly Todd of Albion, IN, five brothers; Bob Taylor of Cromwell, IN, Joe (Vicki) Taylor of Ligonier, IN, Larry Taylor of Albion, IN, Harry (Linda) Taylor of Albion, IN, and Rick (Yvonne) Taylor of Kimmell, IN.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Cleo Taylor, and three brothers; Jim Taylor, Ronald Taylor, and Jerry Taylor.

A funeral service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Yeager Funeral Home – 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier,IN 46767. Celebrant Larry Baker will officiate. Friends and family may call upon the funeral home from 10AM – 2PM , prior to the service on Thursday.  Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN following the funeral service.
