Rutilio "Rudy" L. Trejo

Rutilio L. "Rudy" Trejo, 73, of Ligonier, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Goshen Hospital.  He was born on January 27, 1948 to Gabriel and Gloria (Lara) Garcia. Rutilio married Hilda Tamez on March 27, 1971 in Pharr, Texas.

Rutilio is survived by his wife, Hilda Trejo of Ligonier; children, Rebecca (Eddie) Rios of Tampa, FL, Moises (Jessica) Trejo of Goshen, Kathy Trejo of Goshen, Desiree (Jeremy) Alderete of Bryan, Texas, Benjamin Trejo of Fort Wayne; 6 grandchildren; 7 brothers and 3 sisters.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandchild and one brother.

A service will be held in Rutilio’s honor at 4pm on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Strong Tower Worship Center, 502 W Diamond Lake Road, Ligonier, IN 46767. Rev. Salomon Trejo will officiate the service. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 9 am -12 noon and 2:30 pm-4 pm at the church.  Following the service, a cremation committal will take place a Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Service in Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Rutilio was an avid guitar player and enjoyed doing so serving at the church. He enjoyed: bike rides, walking, being a dedicated worker, collecting t-shirts, Dallas Cowboys and watching movies.
