Ruby Katherine Shepherd

Ruby Katherine Shepherd, 59, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Avalon Village in Ligonier. She was born December 12, 1963 to Thomas Goggans and Joan (Burkley) Grunden in Fort Wayne.

Ruby loved fishing and being outdoors, but her favorite time spent was with family and friends.

Ruby is survived by two daughters, Emily Skaggs of Michigan and Catherine Shepherd of Brimfield; sons, Randy (Alisan Noe) Goggans of Kimmell, and Dillon (Chrissy) Hopkins of Ligonier; grandchildren, Jasper, Farrah, Kannon, Braxton, Tank, and Remington; siblings, Pamela Howard of Kenansville, Fl, Debra (Robin) Murray of Fort Wayne, Thomas (Martha) Goggans of Albion, Tracy (David) Thieme of Wawaka, Robin (John) Urso of Albion, Rachel Hile of Albion, and John (Rena) Grunden of Huntington; and many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Cheryl Gonzalez and Laura Huff; and a brother, Clinton “Buzzy” Goggans.

In keeping with Ruby’s wishes, no public visitation or services are planned. The family will host a private gathering.
