Rosie J. Smith, age 47, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022 at Auburn Village in Auburn, Indiana. She was born to Willie and Callie (Holland) Smith on November 21, 1974 in Rochester, Indiana.
Rosie will forever be missed by her 2 children: Kelly Kidd of Cromwell, Indiana and Amanda Kidd of Cromwell; 2 grandsons, James "Jimmy" Henry and Eli ; brothers, Billy (Trish) Smith of Warsaw, Robert (Marley) Halsey of Cromwell; sisters, Marie (Lance) Halsey of Cromwell, Margaret Wells of Willshire, Ohio, Minnie Furney of Syracuse and Sherrie Blankenbeckler of Syracuse. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Theda Brown and brother, Tommy Joe Smith.
Rosie worked for over 10 years in Elderly Home Health Care and spent much of her life caring for others. She loved to play dice, being outside, planting flowers, music, playing pool and spending time with her grandchildren.
A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in
Ligonier, Indiana. The family will host a service in Rosie’s honor at a later date.
