Roger A. Stahly

Roger A. Stahly, age 76, of Kimmell, IN, passed away on Monday December 17, 2018, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on November 17,1942, to Fred and Doris (Knepper) Stahly.  He married Karen R. McLallin on September 5, 2003.

Roger is survived by his loving wife; daughters, Lisa (Michael) Mabie of Carmel, IN, Paula (Kirk) Scott of Fort Wayne, IN, and Alana (Mike) Christlieb of Ligonier, IN; step daughter, Kari (Brad) Stabler of Ligonier, IN; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Ellen) Stahly of Cromwell, IN, and Randy (Linda) Stahly of Cromwell, IN.   He was preceded in death by his parents.

Roger served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp. He worked at Starcraft Vans, Forest River, and Reith and Riley, and was a volunteer fire fighter.  In retirement he enjoyed mowing at Oak Park Cemetery. He loved spending his free time reading and fishing, restoring furniture, and was a huge fan of Indycar Series racing, attending over fifty Indy 500 races.

A Funeral Service will be held in Roger’s honor onFriday, December 21, 2018 at 11AM, with a visitation from 10-11AM at Ligonier Evangelical Church, 1911 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767.  Pastor Troy Diersingwill officiate . Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery, Ligonier, IN where military graveside honors will be performed.

Family and friends will be received from 2PM - 8PM on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the funeral home.
