Robert Kelly Stienbarger, 74, passed away from natural causes on September 17, 2026. Born on August 19, 1952, in Noble County, he was preceded in death by his parents,Bob and Ann Stienbarger, and his brother, Michael Stienbarger.

He is survived by his children, Christopher (Crystal) Stienbarger of Pleasant Lake, IN. Danyelle (Chris) Irwin of Etna Green, IN. Travis Stienbarger of Ft. Wayne, IN. And his seven grandchildren, Mason, Abigail, Alyssa, Bradly, Autum, Theodore, and Ruby. He is also survived by his three brothers, Timothy (Sally) Stienbarger, Curt (Laura) Stienbarger, and Eric (Carol) Stienbarger.

Robert worked as a Mason for several years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and making up silly songs. He did not have much, but if he saw someone in need, he tried to help them if he could or find someone who could. He attended the Albion Apostolic church and sang in a quartet. He was happiest when he was serving the Lord.

He struggled with addiction for much of his adult life, and that struggle shaped the course of his family in ways that are still being felt. His children loved him and also carried wounds from a childhood that was harder than it should have been. Both things are true at the same time, and his family is choosing to honor all of it – the good memories and the honest ones – because he was a whole person, not a simple one.

His children have chosen not to have a service but will remember him in a private moment with just family.
