Richard H. Stomski

Richard H. Stomski, age 72, of Wolcottville, passed away on February 10, 2024 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. He was born on September 4, 1951 to Benjamin & Marie Stomski in New York.

Richard joined the United States Army where he served his country honorably for 16 years where he was a drill instructor and served in Desert Storm. He later took a job with family and social services in St. Joseph County where he loved helping people. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and visiting upstate New York where he grew up. Vacationing with Rhonda, his partner, was also one of his favorite things to do.

Mr. Stomski is survived by his partner of 22 years, Rhonda Cross of Wolcottville; his mother, Marie Stomski of New York; his sister, Gail (Wally) Dytrych of New York; and special family, Roger Clawson, Jason Randall, and Brady Force all of Wolcottville. He was preceded in death by his father.

A Celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 6 pm at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN. 46767 on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate.

Family and friends will be received from 4-6 pm prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.

A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier.
