Ralph Long

Ralph L. Long, age 90, of Cromwell, IN, went to be with The Lord on Sunday July 24, 2022. He was born on April 6, 1932, the son of the late Martin and Ellen (Kirkpatrick) Long in Tipton County, IN.

Ralph served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1953-1954 and moved to Noble County from Warsaw in 1967. On August 4, 1973, he married Leota E. Mowat and they shared 45 years of marriage prior to her passing in 2019.

Ralph owned and operated Ralph’s Body Shop and was a body repair man for over 52 years. He attended the Millersburg Church of Christ.

Ralph is survived by children, Janet (Kent) Moser of Ligonier, Barbara (Ron) Weber of Arlington Heights, IL, Linda (Hartzel) Carter of Locust Grove, GA, Loeta (Neil) Walker of Cromwell, and Monnie (David) Sheely of Shipshewana.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; three sisters: Marjorie Elliot, Dorothy Harris, and Marilyn Cox; and a grandson, Brian Walker.

A private family graveside service was held and Ralph was laid to rest at Sparta Cemetery. Pastor Scott Saltzman officiated and military honors were rendered by the West Noble American Legion.
