Paula M. Garza

Paula M. Garza, age 71, of Ligonier, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at her home. She was born on July 24, 1952 to Raul Martinez and Ernestina (Ortiz) Martinez. Paula married Fernando Garza on May 5, 1971 in Hidalgo, Texas.

Paula is survived by her children, Fernando (Karata) Garza, Jr. of New York, Nancy Oviedo of Ligonier; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Tina (Pablo) Martinez of Mercedes TX, Diana Martinez of Dallas, Texas and Mary Martinez of Mercedes, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Leslie Luevano and brother, Pedro Martinez.

Paula worked at Kroger for 25 years as a supervisor. She loved gardening, garage sales, collecting cows and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

No services will be held at this time. A cremation committal will occur at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center. Yeager Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
