Paul William Grim

Paul William Grim, 81, of Cromwell, IN passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Grey Stone Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ft. Wayne, IN. He was born April 10, 1937 to Charles and Mary (Tagtmeyer) Grim in Ft. Wayne.

Paul graduated from Wolf Lake High School in 1956.  Paul worked for Union Local 103 as a heavy equipment operator for over 40 years. He was a member for 51 years of the Cromwell Masonic Lodge and the North Webster American Legion.  In 1990, he was the Worshipful Master of the Masonic Lodge.  Some of his business ventures include the Gizzard Wizzard Concession, Homemade Ice Cream business, Orange Blossom Box and Pallet, and building Cheryl her very own unique motorized vehicle.  Within the racing world, he was known as the “Weenie Burner” and the types of cars he raced were sprint cars, late models, and midgets. In 2015, he was inducted into the Warsaw Speedway Hall of Fame.  Paul was a very social man and spending time with his family was very important to him. He never missed his grandsons sporting events.  His creative mind, cheerful personality, and natural ability to always having a good time will be missed by those who knew him.

Paul is survived by his loving companion of 23 years, Cheryl Wiegman of Fort Wayne, IN and her children, Tricia (Darren) Dunbar, Chad (Caty) Wiegman; a son, Adam (Marty) Grim of Cromwell; four grandchildren, A.J. Grim, Taylor Grim, Ashley Dunbar, Zach Dunbar; three great-grandchildren, Celeste Wiegman, Rylann Dunbar and Wyatt Goldsberg; and a sister Mary Reger of St. Clair, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Grim, and brother, Chuck Grim.

A funeral service in honor of Paul will be held at Yeager Funeral Home - 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 7PM . Pastor Joey Nelson will officiate. A cremation committal will take place at the Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center.

Friends and family may call from 4PM-8PM on Friday, November 9, 2018 as well as from 2PM-7PM on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at the funeral home.
