Patricia Ann Elser

Patricia Ann (Kinnison) Elser, age 78, of Ligonier, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025.  Ann was born on December 19, 1946 in Boise, Idaho to Charles Merrill and Mary Jane (Yant) Kinnison. She married James Dean Elser on November 25, 1969 in Wawaka, Indiana, he passed away on November 21, 2013.

Ann is survived by her sisters; Sandra (Steve) Knepper of Wolcottville and Betty Jo Gawthrop Morris of Elkhart; a sister-in-law, Li Qing Kinnison; a brother-in-law, Jerry Yant; and thirteen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary “Tiny” Kathleen Yant; and brother, David Lee Kinnison.

Ann graduated from Wawaka High School and Fort Wayne International Business College, and she worked at Silgan Plastics for thirty-five years. She enjoyed spending her time reading, listening to music, fishing, camping, and taking care of her plants. Ann was a collector of many things and was fond of antiques. She was a member of the Elk’s and the Silgan club.

A service will be held in Ann’s honor on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana 46767. A gathering of family and friends will take place from noon to 3:00 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home. Pastor David Hackney will officiate. A cremation committal will occur following the service at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier. A graveside service will be held at Sparta Cemetery at a later date.
