Oscar Jackson, 78, of Ligonier, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026 at his residence surrounded by family.

He was born on October 29, 1947 in Hazard, Kentucky to the late John and Martha (Collins) Jackson.

Oscar retired from Elkhart Plastics as a supervisor and had all worked for StarCraft Marine for 32 years.

In his free time, Oscar enjoyed fishing, singing karaoke, and listening to Country Music. Most of all, Oscar loved his family, and especially loved to spend time with them.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Becky Jackson; children, Shane Jackson, Stephanie Gibson, Michelle Record and Ricky Jackson; step-children, Adam and Shane Murphy, Robert Bevins, and Michael Bentley; and numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were daughters, Vickie Jackson and Kamilia “Kami” Jackson; and 17 siblings.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at the Ligonier United Methodist Church, 466 Townline Road, Ligonier at 2 p.m. with calling from 11 a.m. until the start of the service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

Memorials may be directed to the family to be used according to their needs and wishes.
