Orla B. Gingerich

Orla B. Gingerich, age 75, of Topeka, IN., passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023, Goshen, IN. He was born on November 20, 1947, the son of Ben and Barbara (Bontrager) Gingerich in LaGrange IN.

He is survived by his wife, Verla Gingerich; sons, Scott Gingerich of LaGrange, IN, Martin Gingerich of White Pigeon, MT; step children, Renee (Steven) Ragsdale of Elkhart, IN, Mike (Cae) Yoder of Oregon, Mark (Sarah) Yoder of Goshen, IN, Darrin (Linda) Yoder; four brothers; Clarence (Mary) Gingerich of Shipshewana, IN, Ben (Linda) Gingerich of Ligonier, IN, Freeman (Clara) Gingerich of Topeka, IN, Pete Gingerich of Wawaka, IN; sister Irene (Junior) Nissley of Topeka, IN; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Orla was proceeded in death by his parents; a grandson, Zachary Yoder and a brother Larry Gingerich.

Orla was a family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a great husband, father, brother and grandfather.  When he wasn’t spending time with his family, he enjoyed fishing and playing golf.

A Funeral Service will be held in Orla’s honor on Monday, January 16, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767.  Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate.  Burial will take place at Hawpatch Cemetery in Topeka, IN following the service.

Family and friends will be received from 12:00-3:00 prior to the service on Monday, January 16, 2023.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Orla’s honor may be directed to his family.
