Norma J. Pate

Norma J. Pate, age 82, of Kimmell, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 at Greencroft Health Care in Goshen, Indiana.  She was born on November 7, 1939 in Covert Michigan to Franklin G. and Irma M. (Pittsley) Quigg.

Norma worked at Silgan Plastics for 20 years.  She enjoyed playing Poker, Bingo, Crocheting and babysitting her grandchildren.

Norma is survived by her children, Teresa (Tony) Alfrey of Cromwell, Bert (Lisa) Avery of Kimmell, Michael Avery of Kimmell; 9 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joann (Goldman) Greene of Bloomingdale, MI, Pamela (Don) Ellis of Wauchula, FL, Corrine (Jon) of Bangor, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin & Irma Quigg; and sons, Raymond Avery, Bruce Avery, Terry Avery, Henry Avery; along with several siblings.

A service will be held in Norma’s honor at 2 pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana 46767.  Pastor Stuart Mutzfeld will officiate.  Family and friends will be received two hours prior to the service.  Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, Indiana.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
