Monte Lynn Ramer

Monte Lynn Ramer, age 75, of Albion, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born on January 14, 1949 to Queneth “Quinn” & Bonny (Rice) Ramer in Kendallville at McCray Hospital.

Monte graduated with the last graduating class of Wawaka High School in 1967. He went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army during Vietnam. He also received a degree in auto-mechanics from Vincennes University. Monte had a passion for classic car restoration, drag racing, drawing, and running, where he had been a state competitor for track in high school.

He is survived by his three children, Leslie (Lael) Ramer of Leo, Indiana, Nick (Jessica) Ramer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Shauna Ramer of Columbia City; four grandchildren, Vince Ramer, Olivia Ramer, Quinn Ramer, and Jade Fought; along with a special friend, Penelope Jones of New Haven, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Queneth Ramer & mother, Bonny Ramer.

There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 4-7 pm at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South,  Ligonier, IN 46767.

A funeral service will be held in Monte’s honor at 11 am on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Stone’s Hill Community Church, Stone’s Hill Community Church, 151 W. Stone’s Hill Rd., Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Joey Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow at Orange Township Cemetery.
