Mike E. Piggott, 77, of Wawaka, Indiana, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 17, 2026.

He was born on October 23, 1948, at the Naval Base in Vallejo, California, to Wallace and Lillian (Jacob) Piggott.

Mike was a 1967 graduate of Wawaka High School, where he was active in FFA and served as president during his senior year.

Throughout his working years, Mike was employed by Gage Brothers Construction for 10 years and Frick Farm Service for 30 years. He also worked various side jobs over the years and took great pride in caring for and maintaining his own equipment.

Mike had a lifelong love of tractors and farm equipment. He especially enjoyed working on and caring for his equipment and spending time having coffee with his buddies at the Charger House Restaurant.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Tracy Winn and her significant other, Darold, of Wawaka; step-son, Jeremy Chagoya and his significant other, Christina, of Ohio; grandchildren, Dustin Hicks and his significant other, Natasha, of Nevada, Michael Winn and his significant other, Emily, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Sedona Winn of Wawaka; brother, Bill Piggott of Wawaka; niece, Carrie Piggott of Warsaw; and nephew, Pete Piggott of Kendallville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Lillian Piggott; Norma Bailey, whom he married in 1972 and who passed away on March 25, 2007; and Linda Wilson, whom he married in 1981 and who passed away on July 5, 2024.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana.

Family and friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at Cosperville Cemetery.
