Merlin Isaac, Sr.

Merlin Isaac, Sr., age 69, of Wawaka, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2025 at his residence. He was born on October 9, 1955 in Virgie, KY to Howell and Lilly (Wright) Isaac. Merlin married Lois Ann Hall on March 5, 1973 in Clintwood, VA.

Merlin is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lois Ann Isaac of Wawaka; son, Sterlin Isaac of Wawaka; 5 grandchildren, Jordan, Justin, Keagan, Kaydence, and Jackson; 1 great-grandson, Rudy; sisters, Floris (Glenn) Steele of Ligonier, Flotine (Jim) Lau of PA and Marlene (Dale) Slone of Wawaka. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Merlin Isaac, Jr. and Verlin Isaac.

Merlin enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching the University of Kentucky Wildcats sports.

In according to Merlin’s wishes cremation will take place at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier. A graveside service with burial next to his sons will be at Oak Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
