Marybeth Griffith

MaryBeth Griffith, age 72, of Wawaka, IN, passed away on June 12, 2017 at Goshen Hopsital in Goshen, IN. She was born on November 16, 1944 the daughter of Thomas James and Adeline Isabel (Julien) Quinn in Harvey, IL. On July 20, 1963 she married Donald T. Griffith in Riverdale, IL; he has since passed away on June 10, 2016.

She leaves behind her six children, Donald (Heather) Griffith of Syracuse, IN, Kathleen Scroggins of Kendallville, IN, Dean Griffith of Kendallville, IN, James (Susie) Griffith of Syracuse, IN, and Laurie Griffith of Wawaka, IN, and Michael Griffith of Ligonier, IN; thirty one grandchildren and great-grandchildren; eight siblings, JoAnn Reynolds, Patricia Shafstall, Robert Connors, Tim Connors, Vince Connors, Monica Hendricks, Teka Collier, and Jerry Connors; along with many other special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Thomas Quinn Jr., Charles Quinn Sr., a sister, Laurie Richardson; sister-in-law, Mildred “Dixie” Rice and her mother and father-in-law, Tilman and Helen Griffith.

Beth was a very busy individual throughout her life.  She was a homemaker to all of her children.  Bowling coach for the Junior League a board member for the Ligonier City Council.  She was also a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church along with being the Choir Director and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, both of Ligonier, IN. She loved to bowl and did so on several different leagues over the years. She also loved to spend as much time as she could with her family and friends. Beth leaves behind many precious memories and countless dear friends.

A funeral service will be held in Beth's honor at 11 AM on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767.  Deacon Stan Lemieux will officiate. Burial will follow at McClintic Cemetery in Syracuse, IN.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the funeral home.
