Marvin Edward Boger, 80, of Syracuse, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2026 at his residence.

He was born on September 17, 1946 in Fort Wayne to the late Russell and Opal (Mavis) Boger.

Mr. Boger honorably answered his country’s call and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

On November 30, 1968 in Fort Wayne, he married the love of his life, Jane Monhollen.

Marvin had worked for Flexaust and Pierceton Rotary.

Marvin was known for his heart of gold, always willing to give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He was an avid fisherman, but his true passion was his family, always putting his children and especially his grandchildren first. He will be fondly remembered for his mechanical abilities; he never met a project he couldn’t tackle or an issue he couldn’t fix.

He is survived by his loving wife, Jane; children, DeWayne and Melissa; grandchildren, Tori, Austin, Jack, Dominic, Michael and Ashely; great-grandchildren, Virginia, Damian, Mia, and Ivy; and siblings, Judy, David, Linda, Bonnie, Martha and Donna.

Also preceding him in death were siblings, Clifford and Phillip.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Marvin’s Life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S., Ligonier with calling from 12 noon until the start of the service at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Indian Village Cemetery.
