Marion Halsey Jr.

Marion C. Halsey Jr., age 69, of Cromwell, IN passed away on Sunday, May 16, 2021. He was born on August 11, 1951, the son of Marion Halsey Sr. and Pearl (Foreman) Halsey in Warsaw, IN.

Marion is survived by two sons, Derek (Pamela) Halsey of Cromwell, IN and Drew (Amy) Halsey of Ligonier, IN; a daughter, Breanne (Kyle) Bowser of Milford, IN and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Marion could be found enjoying the great outdoors while either hunting, fishing or farming.  He also spent hours working on and enjoying souped up cars, owning several himself.  Marion’s strong work ethic showed through during the early 1970’s while serving as a Deputy on the Cromwell Police Department and for the many years he served on the Sparta Township Fire Department.  He had also been employed for many years at Johnson Control in Goshen, IN.  Everyone will remember Marion for his sense of humor and for his talent of making people laugh.

A funeral service will be held in Marion’s honor at 1:00 PM on Thursday May 20, 2021 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767.  Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN. Family and friends will be received from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm prior to the service and also on Wednesday May 19, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 pm at Yeager Funeral Home.
