Maria Elvira Ibarra

Maria Elvira Ibarra, age 56, of Topeka, passed away August 6, 2025 at her residence. She was born on December 6, 1968 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Juan Leura Manzanares and Maria del Socorro Diaz Ramos. She married Andres Ibarra Perez on September 6, 1990 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.

Maria is survived by her husband, Andres Ibarra Perez; children, Carlos Omar Ibarra, Miguel Angel Ibarra, Alondra (Cruz Belmares) Alejandra Belmares-Ibarra; grandsons, Adonis Alexander Belmares and Leonardo Kane Belmares. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Isabel Guadalupe Leura.

Maria was consecrated in St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ligonier on June 21, 2025. She loved teaching Sunday School and spending time with her family.

A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 12 noon until the next morning at 10:30 am at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana 46767. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 am on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 300 Ravine Park Drive, Ligonier, Indiana 46767. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery.
