Maria Del Refugio Bocanegra Rivera

 Maria Del Refugio Bocanegra Rivera, age 75, of Ligonier, IN passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020 at 4:09 pm. She was born on January 18, 1945 in Loreto Zacatecas, Mexico the daughter of Maria Lina Rivera Lara and J Guadalupe Bocanegra Almeida. On October 27, 1969, she married Jose D. Villalobos Jaime; he survives. 

 Other survivors include, six children, Ricardo, Sergio, Rosario, Juan Carlos, Erika, and Maria de jesus; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Rosa Bocanegra Rivera, Aura, Carmen, Gilberto, and Miguel. 

 Maria came to Ligonier in 1996 and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed listening to music and loved to laugh. Maria was dedicated to caring for her home and family. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. 

 A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church on Thursday, May 21, 2020 at 7:30 pm. Father Wilson Corzo will officiate. 

 Family and friends will be received from 2-7 pm at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767.
