Mackie Faye Wigner

June 21, 1936 — December 11, 2022

Mackie Faye Wigner, age 86, of Ligonier, passed away on December 11, 2022 at Ascension Living Sacred Heart Village in Avilla. She was born on June 21, 1936 to Faye Wolf and Edward Carmack Willoughby in Savannah, TN. On December 24, 1963 she married Victor Wigner.

Mrs. Wigner moved to Indiana in 1951 with her family. She worked for various places over the years such as a soda fountain and Wolworth's. In 1959, she went to work for Red Ball Jets, making 1200 to 1500 shoes on her shift. Mackie and Victor also owned Jim's Greenhouses in Elkhart from 1957 until 1995, when Victor became ill. She later retired from Carson's after 18 and half years of faithful employment. Mackie also attended Pleasant Ridge Christian Fellowship Church.

Mackie is survived by her loving caretaker Carol (Nelson) Hunter of Ligonier.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; her parents; a sister, Jeanette; and her very good friend, SaDonna Fought of Ligonier.

No public visitation or services are planned at this time. Mackie will be laid to rest with Victor at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.

Memorial donations will be directed to Pleasant Ridge Christian Fellowship Church, 15510 Co Rd 22, Middlebury, IN 46540.
