Lynne Douglas

June 13, 1940 — November 4, 2018

Lynne Douglas, age 78, of Ligonier, IN passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:53 PM. She was born on June 13, 1940 the daughter of Theodore and Uteva (James) Mowat in White Pigeon, MI.

She is survived by her son, Terry (Teresa) Douglas of Ligonier; two step-grandchildren, Blake Watson of Ligonier, and Kristopher (Charity) Watson of Goshen, IN; siblings, Leota (Ralph) Long of Cromwell, IN and Alice Johnson of Ligonier, IN; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and last, but not least, her four legged kids, Zoe, Jazzy, and Suzie. She was preceded by her parents; a sister, Erlis Rex; and a brother, Ted Mowat.

Lynne was a straight shooter, and you never had to wonder where she stood, because she told you! She was strong, determined, and a hard worker.  She retired from General Electric in 1990 after many years of faithful service and was a dedicated member of Millersburg Church of Christ for over 25 years. Lynne loved to crochet, and was also a member of the Noble Needle Workers Club. She enjoyed making special blankets and hats for others, and they will continue keeping many warm for years to come.

A memorial service will be held in Lynne’s honor at 2PM on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. A private burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN.

Family and friends will be received from 12-2PM prior to the service at Yeager Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
