Lois Rosenogle

Lois Rosenogle, age 91, of Ligonier, Indiana passed away at home on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at 10:30 pm. Lois was the third child of Clarence and Ruby (Rodman) Reed in Green Township, Noble County, Indiana, born on August 17, 1933.

She graduated from Ligonier High School in 1951. On March 12, 1951, she married Herb Rosenogle of Ligonier. They spent their entire married life of 48 1/2 years at the same home north of Kimmell where they engaged in farming and raising livestock, as well as three great kids.  Herb passed away in November of 1999.

In 2001, Lois left the farm to live in Ligonier. She held various jobs in the area as well as helped with the farm operation. She enjoyed flowers, reading, crocheting, and traveling. Farming with her husband in the summer and winters in Florida.

She is survived by two sons, Jim Rosenogle of Ligonier, Indiana and Larry (Sandy) Rosenogle of Albion, Indiana; a daughter, Marcia Bechtel of Elkhart, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jennifer Rosenogle of Ligonier, Indiana, Ryan Rosenogle Charleston, South Carolina, Heather (Mark) Eash of Ligonier, Indiana, Josh (Krista) Rosenogle of Albion, Indiana, and April (Joe) Schultz, of Huntertown, Indiana; ten great-grandchildren; and a very special companion, Cliff Burns of Kimmell, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a grandson, Blake Bechtel; and three brothers, Don Reed, Wayne Reed, and Ross Reed.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at 1pm on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Jean Ness will officiate. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, Indiana.

Family and friends will be received from 11 am - 1 pm prior to the funeral service on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
