Lois Anna Jane Beardsley

Lois Anna Jane Beardsley, age 82, of Ligonier, IN passed away as the result of natural causes at Goshen Hospital on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 1:30 AM. She was born on November 19, 1935 the daughter of Charles Henry & Sylvia Jane (Boyce) Blair in Washington County, OH. On June 26,1955, she married Earnest Lester Beardsley, he preceded her in death February 1, 2009.

Lois moved to the area in 1964, coming from Washington County, OH and attended the Church of Christ. She graduated from Salem Liberty High School in Washington County, OH. Over the years she worked for Monsanto, Superior Sample, & Scroufe all of Ligonier, IN. Lois and Ernie enjoyed traveling down to Tennessee, local stock car racing, and holidays with the family.

She is survived by her son, Ernie Beardsley of Albion, IN; a daughter, Cheryl (Rusty Hollowell) Beardsley of Topeka, IN; grandchildren, Adriene Traver of Albion, IN, Tina James of Ligonier, IN, Tiffany (Joe) Perry of Farmington, New Hampshire, Michelle (Issac) Bench of Crawfordsville, IN, & Sondra (Nick) Norton of Crawfordsville, IN; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband; parents; five sisters; one brother; and one great grand-daughter.

A funeral service will be held in her honor on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 1PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 in Ligonier, IN. Celebrant Larry Baker will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN.

Family and friends will be received from 6-8 PM on Monday, April 23, 2018 at the funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Kidney Foundation.
