Linda Lou Galloway

Linda Lou Galloway, 77, of Ligonier passed away Monday, September 2, 2024 at home surrounded by family. She was born on November 1, 1946 to Morris "Dutch" and Ruth (Blanton) Sprague in Kendallville. On April 8, 1967, she married Carroll Eugene Galloway at the Broadway Christian Church in Kimmell; he survives.

Linda worked for over 32 years as a bus driver for North East Indiana Special Education Co-op. She was a good mother to her four girls and in her earlier years enjoyed family camping trips with them. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Ligonier Christian Church, singing in the choir and teaching little ones in Sunday School, her grandchildren included.

Linda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Carroll Galloway; four daughters, Brenda (John) Richendollar, Lori (Jamey) Waikel, Rhonda (Jamie) Storms, and Sherry (Shawn) Cox; nine grandchildren, Hannah Richendollar, Hailey Richendollar, Ashlin (Ben) Walker, Gretchen (Zayne) Swartz, Breanna (Kail Williams) Waikel, Cameron (Alyssa) Storms, Miranda Storms, Brandon Cox, and Kristen Cox; 12 great grandchildren; and seven siblings, Virginia Reichard, Suzie Parsons, Rita Perry, Lois (Kenny) Martin, Deb (Bill) Runge, Pam Brickey, and Dave (Sheryl) Sprague.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Mike Sprague.

A funeral service in honor of Linda will be held at 11 AM on Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Ligonier Christian Church, 9025 N 860 W, Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Chris Coney will officiate with burial to follow at Sparta Cemetery.

Friends and family will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Thursday, September 5, 2024 at the church.
