Linda Pauline Chrisman

Linda Pauline Chrisman, age 87, of Ligonier, IN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 30, 2024.  She was born to Samuel L. & Doris B. (Maggert) Stump on July 1, 1936.  On May 17, 1957, she married Donald Richard Chrisman, who went to be with the Lord on October 14, 2018.

Linda spent many years with the local election board, was employed at the Pizza Shack, and retired from the West Noble Day Care Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family, doing puzzles, was an avid reader and bird watcher, and loved playing Scrabble, Boggle, Dominoes & Farkle.

She was a member of Ligonier Missionary (formerly Evangelical) Church and a Silver Star Mother with The Salvation Army.

Linda is survived by her daughters Fay (Butler) Jane, Cathy (Ken) Shaw, Sally (Tim) Sell, and Robyn Chrisman, along with seven grandchildren; Kevin Jane, Kara Jane, Kyle (Susannah) Jane, Benjamin (Aimee) Shaw, Daniel (Debbie) Shaw, Jason (Lindsay) Sell, Josiah Sell and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel L. & Doris B. Stump; Lowell Butler, her first husband; Donald Chrisman, her husband of 61 years; and her sister, Mary Folk.

A funeral service will be held in Linda’s honor at 11 am on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at the Ligonier Missionary Church, 1911 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN  46767.  Major Tim Sell of The Salvation Army will officiate.

Family and friends will be received from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at the Ligonier Missionary Church.  There will also be an hour of visitation from 10-11 am prior to the service on Wednesday at the church.
