Kristopher Lee Goodyear

Kristopher Lee Goodyear, age 46, of Goshen, Indiana, lost a twelve year battle with heart failure on August 31, 2023. He passed away at the Heart Institute at Parkview Regional Medical Institute in Fort Wayne. He was born on March 26, 1977 in Muncie, IN.

Kristopher was a loved son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed. Kristopher was the true definition of a hero to many. He fought battles to stay on this earth than no one person should ever fight. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was always the life of the party.  He was known as the family jokester, the technology nerd, and worked for Wawasee Community Schools for many years as a custodian. He was the emotional support for many, an amazing artist, favorite uncle, and all around super hero.

Kristopher was preceded in death by his father, Roger, his bonus father, Donald, his brother, uncle, and his grandparents. He is survived by Angie Goodyear; Kiana Spray; his mother, Cynthia Addison; three daughters, Emilee, Kristine, and Autumn; bonus daughter, Sophia; sister, Shena (Tim) Dusseau; two brothers, Bret (Melissa) Goodyear and Shay (Carisa) Addision; two granddaughters, Shelbee and Raylenae; his cats, Simba and Mouse; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held in Kristopher’s honor at 1 pm on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Rev. Patrick Blevins will officiate. Burial will take place at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN.

Family and friends will be received from 11 am - 1 pm prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.
