Kevin Ray Prentice, age 62, of Kendallville, IN passed away on Saturday January 12, 2019 at 5:07 PM at Parkview Noble Hospital. He was born on January 1, 1957 the son of Ivan and Maxine (Cook) Prentice. On June 8, 2002, he married Sarah Zumbrun; she survives.
Kevin was a 1975 graduate of West Noble High School, worked as a agriculture mechanic for many years, and was an active member of Etna United Methodist Church. He loved participating and attending antique tractor pulls, fishing, going to church, and anything mechanical.
He survived by his wife, Sarah Zumbrun of Kendallville, IN; four children; a brother, Brian (Mindy) Prentice of Kimmell, IN; two-stepchildren, Brandon Zumbrun of Kendallville, IN and Shawn (Heather) Counts of Warsaw, IN; a granddaughter, Arianna; nieces and nephews, Nick, Jeff, Roger, & Katie; along with 6 great nieces & 4 great-nephews; Mother and Father-in-law, Thomas and Almeda Zumbrun of Millersburg, IN; and last but not least, his grandogs, Studly and Hot Dog. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral service will be held in Kevin’s honor at 6PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2018 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Jerry L. Burghduff will officiate. A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier following the services.
Family and friends will be received from 4-6PM at Yeager Funeral Home prior to the service on Wednesday.
