Kevin E. Ackerman

LIGONIER – Kevin E. Ackerman , age 51, of Ligonier, IN passed away due to the result of a motorcycle accident on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Fort Wayne, IN.  He was born on August 23, 1966 in Lima, OH the son of Stanley E. & Sharon L. (Routson) Ackerman.

He is survived by his mother, Sharon L. Blackshire; son, Trae Ackerman; daughter, Kierra Ackerman; brother, Brad Ackerman; sister, Shonda Martin; half-sister, Cindy Ackerman; numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, along with so many great friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; Stanley Ackerman and grandparents.

Kevin was a graduate from West Noble High School in 1984.  He liked to swim, fish and spend as much time outdoors as he could. A lot of motorcycle trips are filled with memories of him laughing and acting silly with his friends.  He worked in construction for most of his career and was considered a jack of all trade's, having many talents with fixing and creating things.  He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service will be held in Kevin’s honor on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 6PM at Yeager Funeral Home , 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor John Lutton will officiate. Cremation will take place with the Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier, IN following the service.

Family and friends will be received from 2PM-6 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions in Kevin’s name may be directed to the Church of the Nazarene - 1102 S. Martin Street Ligonier, IN 46767.
