Kenneth R. Wolf

Kenneth Richard Wolf, age 96, of Osceola, Indiana left Miller’s Health Care in LaPorte on Thursday, July 20, 2023, to forever be with The Lord. He was born on October 1, 1926 in Logansport, Indiana, the son of John and Edna (Weikle) Wolf. On November 1, 1947, he married  Netha Virginia McCaskill in Elkhart, IN and together they shared nearly seventy years of marriage prior to her passing on September 20, 2017.

Survivors include, six children, Kenneth (Carmen) Wolf of Elkhart, IN, Don Wolf, of Osceola, IN, twins, Larry (Sue) Wolf of LaPorte, Jerry (Dawn) Wolf of Sierra Vista, AZ, Virginia (Tom) Durfee of Bartlow, Florida, and James Wolf of Girdler, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; along with siblings, Dean (Sherry) Wolf of Warsaw, Indiana and Lois Jacobson of Osceola, and a sister-in-law, Helen Wolf of South Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and four siblings, Raymond, Carol, Jean, John.

Ken was raised in Logansport and later Elkhart. He served his country honorably during WWII in the Army achieving the rank of sergeant. While serving, he was one of the first occupational forces to enter Japan with General Douglas MacArthor and also sailed into the Tokyo bay on the US battleship Missouri, the same ship the Armistice agreement was signed on. Ken later retired from Federal Paper Board after 35 years of faithful service.

Kenneth loved The Lord and was a beloved and devoted member of First General Baptist Church in Osceola, IN and the Northside Church of The Nazarene. He loved, and was cherished by, a large host of family and friends that extended well beyond the church.

Family and friends will gather to fellowship and celebrate Kenneth’s life on September 9, 2023 from 1-4 pm at Northside Church of the Nazarene, 53569 Co Rd 7, Elkhart, IN 46514.
