Kenneth Eugene Jones Sr.

Kenneth Eugene Jones Sr., affectionately known as Ken, passed away on March 21, 2025, in Kendallville, Indiana, at the age of 80. Born in peaceful Rural Route, Indiana, Ken's 80 years were marked by joy, adventure, and unwavering kindness.

The spirited anchor to a large and adoring family, Ken is survived by his six children, Scott (Alana) Jones, Kurt (Rhea Mae) Jones, Susan (Roger) Withrow, Kerry (Wendy) Jones, Jay (Annie) Jones Jr., Shawn Earle, and a legion of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were his pride and joy: 24 grandkids, 11 step-grandkids, 14 great-grandkids, and 7 step-great-grandkids. His legacy is also carried on by his brothers, Larry (Liz) Jones and Ivan (Caroline) Jones. Ken was reunited in passing with his beloved wife, Sharon (Linton) Jones; his parents, Fred and Susanna (Beechy) Jones; and his siblings, Betty Jones Jacobs, Mary Lou Jones Miller, Alvin Jones, and Raymond Jones.

Ken's adventurous spirit led him to the calm waters and grandstands, where he found serenity in fishing and excitement in NASCAR. Friends and family will remember him for his kind-hearted nature and the spirited life he led. Ken's memory will continue to guide and inspire those he loved, as they remember a life lived to its fullest, with open hands and an open heart.

Per Ken’s wishes, no services are to be held. Ken’s final resting place will be at Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka, Indiana, Yeager Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ken’s honor may be given to Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway S., Ligonier, IN 46767, to assist the family with expenses.
