Keith Raymond Yoder

Keith Raymond Yoder, age 63, of Goshen, formerly of Ligonier, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 11:52 pm at Goshen Hospital. He was born on September 8, 1959, the son of Raymond and Wilma (Lambright) Yoder in Goshen. On November 6, 1982, he married Cyndi Fulford.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cyndi Yoder of Goshen; six children, Tamara (John) Bair of Ligonier, Melissa (Cody) Yoder of Millersburg, Ivory (Anthony) Beck of Fremont, Brooke (Josh) Gohlke of Mentone, Tristin Ritter of Mentone, and Jade Ritter of Goshen; 17 grandchildren; his father, Raymond Yoder of Goshen; 3 siblings, Odell Yoder of Goshen, Doris (Mark) Copenhaver of Goshen, and Craig Yoder of Millersburg; along with several beloved nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Yoder; in-laws, Paul and Virginia Fulford; and a niece, Tiffany.

Keith was loved by all and was lovingly referred to as “poppy” by many who considered him a father figure. Keith was a talented carpet layer and worked as a subcontractor for Southwind Flooring in Shipshewana for over 40 years. After retiring, he continued to work as a “Yoder Toter”, a Yoder Yoder Toter,  actually. He loved Hershey’s Syrup and had it in his coffee Everyday.

Keith enjoyed attending church and loved The Lord. He was called the “baby whisperer” at church as he had a unique ability to make any baby stop crying.  A man of varied interest and talents, Keith enjoyed Mopar and had a 1966 Dodge Polara. He also enjoyed his metal detector, rock polishing, woodworking, fishing, Cartoons, and more than anything he loved his grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held in Keith’s honor at 11 am on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Kevin Moore will officiate. Burial will follow at Cosperville Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Yeager Funeral Home. There will also be an hour of calling from 10-11 am prior to the service on Wednesday.
