Karen M. Madsen

Karen M. Madsen, age 66, passed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at her residence in Ligonier. She fought the good fight of faith and has gone home to be with her Lord and Savior. Karen was born on April 20, 1956 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to Melvin and Verna Marie (Tinker) Madsen.

Karen worked as a case worker for Salvation Army for 14 years. She also was a billing clerk at Standard Brand Paint Company in California and worked at Zion National Park in Utah for over 4 years before moving back to Indiana.
Karen loved football and was an avid Chiefs fan.

Karen is survived by her brothers, Mike and Tim Madsen and her beloved church family. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Bob Madsen.

A service will be held in Karen’s honor at 6pm on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at Broadway Christian Church, 208 North 900 West, Kimmell, Indiana 46760. Pastor Samuel Erwin will officiate. Family and friends will be received from 4- 6pm prior to the service at the church. A cremation committal will take place following the service at Legacy Cremation and Remembrance Center in Ligonier.
