Karen Sue Green

Karen Sue Green, age 73, of Cromwell, Indiana passed away on Monday, December 18, 2023. She was born on December 26, 1949 the daughter of Edwin and Mary (Gangwer) Mynhier in Wolf Lake, Indiana. On January 17, 1976, she married Fred Green.

Karen is survived by her husband of 47 years, Fred Green of Cromwell, three children, Keith (Stacie) Kiser of Kimmell, Justin Green of Cromwell, and Garrick (Dee) Kiser of Kendallville, Indiana; two step-children, Jason (Heather) Green of Auburn, and Jennifer Hines of New Haven, Indiana; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; along with a brother, Gary Mynhier of Niles, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Brad Kiser; and a grandson, Ethan (Shawna) Kiser.

Karen drove school bus for West Noble for over twenty-five years and then drove for Wawasee School Corporation in her “retirement.” Karen enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, birdwatching, flowers,  and trips to “The Boat” with her friend Pat Emily. However, there was nothing Karen enjoyed more than fishing and especially with her grandchildren at the lake behind their home.

In keeping with Karen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held in Karen's honor at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, Indiana on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11 a.m. Pastor Jean Ness will officiate.

While Karen is no longer with us, her life will go on as she chose to become an organ donor and in death, give the gift of life.
